Hey guys, not sure if this is in the right area, but here it goes...I have a 99 silverado extended cab, came with goodyear wrangler ATS LT285/75/R16's on it...stock size is 265...I cant find any info on the correct tire pressure. Tire says max cold is 65, I was thinking running them at 45 or 50. Anyone have any info?

doesn't it say it on the inside of the driver's door?

probably around 38lbs should be good.

You can look up the load-inflation chart and compare that to the truck's GVWR for your minimum pressure. Just google for it, any brand's chart is fine; it's all standardized across manufacturers by the The Tire and Rim Association and the Rubber Manufacturers Association.

However, if you don't want to go to that effort, the minimum for the stock 265s will be safe and effective on your truck. The 285s might be eligible to run one or two PSI less.

I've always run mine at the "max cold pressure".

It does make the ride a little bit rougher, but hell man...it's a truck, not a Caddy.
