Is the "XM Radio ID number" (that shows up on channel 0) burned into the GM NAV radio, or the GM factory XM componants located over the glove box?

In other words if the XM ID # is 12345 with the stock radio, and you switch out to a new / different GM unit, will the 12345 show up on that "new" radio?

Each tuner has its own ID

the number goes with the XM tuner located in the truck, not the radio in the dash
