Maybe I’m gettin old and don’t look at shit no more but I didn’t even know what the pill flip mod was till I read it in your post. Now that I’m lookin, it’s easy as hell. Don’t know if I’d rather be extra and buy the ppe one or not. But def looks a worthy mod.

Well this became a little more involved.... Was just going to replace the outer axle seals and ball joints but found the axle tubes full of gravel. Luckily it hadn't got past the inner seals yet

Still waiting on parts for the 67, bearings did get dusted out and my dumb ass messed up the oil baffle taking the pinion bearings out. Was able to measure for a drive shaft today tho and turns out a jeep Cherokee rear shaft is the perfect length 🤣 anyway test fit the 16.5s on the shit box, definitely going on this summer.

Don’t know if you’ve gotten around to doing the pill flip or not, I did it yesterday. Takes all of 10 minutes to do. Noticed before on short trips to town, 10 miles or so, that I’d get up to 170ish before having to stop in traffic. Went on a 45 min drive with prolly 70/30 Highway/city driving and highest I got up to was 138. Settled back down to 130 when cruising 70-75. See what happens when I hook up a trailer.

Awesome, thanks for feedback. I haven’t done it yet because I don’t have a concrete pad at my house and I’m terrified of losing the little clips that hold the lines in the expansion valve

Them lil magnetic trays come in handy, but I hear ya man. Mine has the new style that’s the flat plate and a bolt that holds the lines in.

@jglew82 Yessir. $200 was smoking when pulled, most likely bad rings which is a non issue. Will be a 383 or 396 stroker.
