I have used this paint in the past, and most recently on my Street Sceene mirrors. My problem is that the color almost always turns out to have a purple look to it. I switched to GM paint and like it alot. Just curious if anybody else had this problem with the duplicolor.

No experience with indigo blue metallic, but with duplicolor summit white. I hear white is real hard to match, but my results where terrible. Don't worrie, im not riding around with this setup: here are my results with duplicolor. Never again.

Is the paint itself looking bad, or is it not a good color match? I was wanting to spray some under hood plastics using Dupli-Colors Indigo Blue (on my '95). If it just has a purple tint to it, I might be o.k. using it under hood where the light won't bring the purple out as much. Personally, I had my Chevelle painted Mopar Patriot Blue Pearl, because I thought the Indigo had too much purple to it in the sunlight.
yeah man, i painted the dash of my 02 with it and it looks great except it turns purple when the sun hits it. oh well.

I painted my tailgate handle and bowtie last week and I had 2 cans of paint. Bothe were indigo blue metallic duplicolor(410 or 401 number code) One matched perfect and the other was way off. I bought them at the same place, I don't really know I guess you have to try it out first and see.
