So I've had my truck for a little over a year now, and its time to begin on lifting it. Ive went through 3 sets of tires and wheels in the past two months and nothing is keeping me entertained past a couple weeks. I just placed an order on new rims and tires so ill begin this build here.

General truck info: 2015 Silverado LTZ Z71. Black leather interior with bucket seats in front.

This is where I began about half a year after buying the truck. 2 inch level with 33 toyos and gay z71 badging on the fender (dont know what i was thinking). Also Corsa Catback with side exit.

This is the truck about a month later. Finally removed rear badging and about a week later did the doors. Truck stayed pretty dirty during winter.

This is about 5 months later or late summer (july). Purchased these wheels (275/55r20 bfg all terrains) thinking I would like them but they were just too small for my liking. Also, purchased Rigid SRQ-2 Driving beam with high/low. Also added a .5 inch leveling kit to the 2 inch to level out the front completely.

About a week later I listed my 18s and toyos for sale on craigslist and received these wheels and tires off trade (295/60r20 Nitto Trail Grapplers) No rubbing on them, but it is a pretty tight squeeze. Also got some Amp Researches for the truck.

Now we're in present time. I just placed my order on 22x14 AF Independence SS8 style with Nitto 355/40r22 tires. Hopefully they'll be in by mid October. As of the situation for the lift Im currently undecided on what I want at this point in time. Im looking for some input as to what yall think I should run. Im really torn between fts and mcgaughys but with all the shit reviews on mcgaughys its really pushing me towards fts.

Anybody running these feel free to chime in with your 2 cents. but that does it for now on this update

I vote McG because its way nicer. fts is one of the ugliest lifts out there.

+1 for the independence ss8 tho, thats the only AF wheel I like.

Just a small update. Havent been on here in a while. Been having nothing but problems out of the fts lift with it maxed out at 9". I couldnt get it aligned worth a crap and 355s are too expensive. This 10" tcs lift will be here in a week or so, powdered to match the truck with polished backplates. Also ordered Atlas springs for the rear that will be powdered to match too with chrome clamps.

What issues were you having with the lift? I'm about to pull the trigger and order a 7-9 FTS for my 17 LTZ 4wd. Definitely don't want to be hearing about problems.
