Happy Fourth of July to my fellow GMFS. I want to up grade the spark plug wires on my 2006 Sierra 4.8, I have replaced them once already but want to up grade to something better then the 7mm factory wires. I used MSN wires on my 2002 Silverado 5.3 and didn’t seem much different then the factory wires. I wanted to see what wires some of you recommend, thanks!

You won't notice a performance gain in a stock truck with even the best wires on the market. If you're having issues with your stock ones, then replacing them with MSD or the likes would improve performance, but you won't even have a butt dyno gain unless yours are damaged

I installed a cold air intake, a Dynomax exhaust and some iridium NHK plugs. I know that’s not much, I was just hoping to get a little more better performance by upgrading the wires. Eventually I’d like to do more to the truck.

I picked up a pair of Granatelli wires for cheap on eBay. Thicker and stock appearance and paid close to any OEM. I’m happy with them

Find an upgrade relatively cheap as OEM and go with that. Chances Aretha might tear a boot removing OEM anyhow

MSD super conductors. Mainly because
Everything I own has headers and the bendable boot is a life safer.

Plus they seem to hold up a lot better.

What does "gives a little better burn" mean and how would that help in his application?
In his app, he won't notice anything most likey. He said he wanted an upgrade and wont have to change them very often. Taylor makes nice stuff, heavy shielding, etc. Also cheaper than other aftermarket wires/ sometimes oem. Better burn/ more efficient spark. Garage lingo i guess. Not a power thing, not seat of pants either.
