hey Brett, have the KP front kit, Belltech spindles with 24" rims( HELO HE866 24.00" x 9.50"+35) running 295/30R24 tires. I have a lot of camber. How do I fix it?

If you want a good front suspension then you have to Redo the entire front suspension. The kp kit isn't any better geometry than stock arms, and the belltech spindle isn't good for bagged vehicles either.

I tried to tell you all that back before you built the truck.

They were free parts, I spent nothing on them.
Since I am goiong to need to start over what is the best to buy, or can my KP arms be modified to fix the problem?
Why are belltech spindles (99-06 GM 1/2 Ton 00-06 Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche 2" Drop Spindle Part #: 2508)not good for bagged trucks?

I understand they were free but the arms don't do much for you except look good.
And no, the belltech 2508 spindles are not good for bagged trucks unless you build the front suspenion for the spindles. the spindles are 1.25" taller than stock and the taller the spindle to worse the camber curve will be if you do not alter the front suspension mounting points.

the only way you're going to fix the camber, with the arms you have, is to make new upper control arm mounts. If you want to really build a nice front suspension, you need to get the lower arms modified to have the lower ball joint to come through the bottom of the spindle and make new upper mounts. then go to hiem steering.

you will have to do this one off if you want to use the arms you have.

Re: Front Suspension Thread & NBS kit discussion

So since I have the Belltech spindles I would probably want to raise my upper 2" or is it better to just use stock or get MCGs? I plan on narrowing my arms 1" too... and running 24s probably 285/30r24 tires

You need to just buy a kit. The questions you guys are asking let me know that you haven't read up on how a suspension is suppose to work.

If you lift the upper arms and the narrow the track width by narrowing both the upper and lower arms, you will cause it to have excess camber.

I explained briefly in the first post, how upper arms placement can't hurt driving depending on relation of the upper ball joint to lower ball joint distance.

The key to reducing camber is to keep the control arm mounting points distance shorter than the distance between upper and lower ball joints.

You do not need to raise the uppers more than 1.25" because raising them 2" will cause the arms to be almost parallel and that isn't good for driving.

You also want the upper arms to be as long as possible, while keeping all the suspension parts in the parameters they should be.

There's a ton of things to go over and measure before building your own suspension, and it's more than just things I can answer on here and have you understand.

You guys need to read a lot and study independent suspension geometry or let someone else build it.

For you guys trying to build and mod arms, buy uniballs and save a headache. I would give taylor a call at MMW. He has been doing a random sale every 1-2 months on these kits if you stay posted on his fb.Taylor also released his new jeebus joints that are better then the old stuff.Hes taking discounted upgrades on previously sold items

Brett that link of your heim joints, how do the better heims compare to the 12.99 ones?

They're the same thing just the $30 ones are made of chromoly and have a mirror finish.

Re: Front Suspension Thread & NBS kit discussion

Mine did it and my rack and pinion was loose and the whole thing was making a little pop at slow speed turns. I would check that also

UK, so buy the ekstensive front kit and what spindles? Was looking at MCG one part#33003. If I gought these parts would it wouk right once installed? I have nothing but time as seeing school is out in 3 days. Just need part #'s and companies names that sell the parts. PLEASE Need to have it finished before Slamborree in Tulsa in june( will install stock spindles tomorrow till I figure this all out.

The ekstensive kit uses stock spindles. They just have to be drilled out, which they will do for you if you ship them to them.

Is this only for bagged trucks if not, i asked in the NBS static thread but didnt really get any help.

07classic regular cab w/t

Im wanting a 5" drop up front (will be running 255/35/20 tires on a 20X8.5" wheel) I was planning to run the Mcg 16"+ spindle and 3" belltech springs, Belltech sp shocks. will be swapping new moog upper and lower balljoints, also flipping the upper arms if needed. as far as tie rods would you recommend stock replacement moogs or switch to the heims (like the ones ffr on here sells?) i want it to align and keep good suspension geometry and little to no bumpsteer.

If you recommend i change anything or any suggestions let me know. Thanks

Re: Front Suspension Thread & NBS kit discussion

heims wouldn't be a bad idea I probably would have done it eventually... but I will be anyways now that I'm bagging it

Yeah my new truck has 118K so ima just refresh the front suspension and might as well get the heims, also might get the belltech camber bushings if needed.

Re: Front Suspension Thread & NBS kit discussion

The belltech camber bushings worked good for me and fix a lot of my camber
