A good hot water pressure washer and lots of degreaser. Pull the bed off . That's how I would tackle it.

 

For starters soak everything with a good apc like simple green, purple power ect when its raining then go splash through all the waterholes on the street you can find ...

Or same thing and a pressure washer

 

Or place a lawn sprinkler under your truck and turn it on

If you can find a good solid metal water sprinkler and tap out the holes (if large enough) and get some screw in nozzles. It's hard to find a sprinkler with large enough arms to accommodate the nozzles but there are a few, I found one at a garage sell of an older couple(remember they usually have the better built stuff laying around!). Spray the underside down very well with some Purple Power (or generic brand whichever works). I don't dilute, just straight and start the water after a few minutes. I gave the sprinkler to my buddy when we got an outside lift for the cars. I'll see if he still has it so I can send over a few pics.

Foam the undercarriage with a little soap and APC and let it sit and rinse and that gets the job done

The degreaser and sprinkler underneath sounds like a good idea to me.

That's why you get that ugly junk off of there and do it right! I picked bed up and all and got that trash off best I could. Can't stand that junk. Wax style coating that hold road grime and all sorts of trash. The faster it's gone the better the truck looks with a good painted frame.

yea, strip it and paint. It'll look much better in the end.

and that goo coating holds road grime and crap then dries out and flakes off anyways.
