Yup, your right - this is the only pic I've ever found and believe me, I've searched... :bawl:thedj75 said:One thing Mexico either got, or still has....was a NEW BODY STYLE 2dr Tahoe.....yup.....from the factory. Not a custom....I saw it in Truckin' right when GM changed the SUV's to the NBS. Back in 2000? I still have the issue somewhere. They killed it in the US but for some reason kept the 2dr's into the NBS era for a bit. What I wouldn't do to have one of those......
I wonder what happened to that handful. Even if they were only limited, if they were out in the public...maybe theres a few floating around still. I WANT I WANT!!!!yukoneer said:those 2drs in mexico were really only prototypes, a limited handful were made...

My boy I have questions message me at rudygee1991@gmail.comMEXICAN 400SS where does 400 come from? Some people think "400" because it has 400 C.I. engine or because it has a Turbo-400 transmission, but not really , Although it was inspired by its “gringa” sister, the 454SS, that one , took the name of its engine. In the 400SS Mexican pickup the name it is taken from what the platform of the 88-98 (usa) 92-98 (Mexican) Pickups was called. The platform was the GMT 400. The 400 SS was an aesthetic package only (decals , painted grill , color matched bumpers ) things changed compared to the regular truck on the outside as a bumper to the body color, grill on the 92-93 models in black, then to the body color matched on the 94-98 models. Moldings with details in red, what makes it special? Well, it was the only one Chevrolet pickup in Mexico that had a stepside bed option, also this 400SS version only was for sale in Mexico , this trucks are 100% manufactured in Mexico (VIN number starts with 3) and it was only made in 4 colors, red, white, black and moss green (92-98) emerald green (99-05) It was discontinued in 2005, when GM discontinued Stepside beds , its main feature. The GMT 400 platform appears in México in 1992 , the first two years of the 400SS (92,93) the truck had fleetside bed only , then from 1994 to 1998 most of this trucks had stepside bed , and from 1999 till the end ( 2005) all this trucks had stepside bed
