On the 4x4 NNBS Ex Cab Std Bed trucks do you need an extended driveshaft or notch the xmember when putting on 8+ inches of lift in the rear like on the crew cabs?
thats what i was thinking, cuz i know at least on the NBS X-cabs 4x4s have the single solid driveshaft and 2wds have the wierd 2 piece one.No, from my understanding this occurs only with 2wd trucks because their driveshaft is longer due to lack of transfer case. My brothers is up 8.5" in the rear and mine is okay with 7" of lift in the rear. Doesnt even come close.
Get a 4x4 and call it a day :read:thats what i was thinking, cuz i know at least on the NBS X-cabs 4x4s have the single solid driveshaft and 2wds have the wierd 2 piece one.
Your guess is as good as mine. Me and the shipping store are currently fighting with UPS on it. I'm either getting the money I need for the missing parts or getting the money to buy a new lift. UPS has tried to deny the claim once but that shit didn't fly. Hopefully soon I will get it all figured out.I'ld never buy a 2WD truck to lift.
JAKD-UP when are you putting on your lift? let us know if you have to do any modifying?
i have an issue with mine at EC  thats why i havent lifted the back of mine more. (yet) I will be here shortly but i have to buy an extended driveshaft as well as new shocks and rear springsI wonder if this is a problem with the RCSB 2wd trucks
I dont mind extending the d-shaft...I just dont wanna modify the crossmember.i have an issue with mine at EC  thats why i havent lifted the back of mine more. (yet) I will be here shortly but i have to buy an extended driveshaft as well as new shocks and rear springs
Will, or someone with a NNBS 4x4 if you could, measure the driveshaft length. From the center of the bolt that connects to the tranny to the back by the axle.
i dont believe there will be any difference in length meaning yes, you too will need an extended driveshaft over 8 1/2"
not sure, but if you notch and box it, it will be stronger than the factory U shaped crossmember anyhow.I dont mind extending the d-shaft...I just dont wanna modify the crossmember.
Wonder if some company will ever make a special crossmember for these lifted 2wd's
You want the measurement of my NBS driveshaft? (wont have the nnbs till next month)iWill, or someone with a NNBS 4x4 if you could, measure the driveshaft length. From the center of the bolt that connects to the tranny to the back by the axle.
i figured you could go to a dealershipYou want the measurement of my NBS driveshaft? (wont have the nnbs till next month)
I bought it off a member here. It was noone's fault but UPS. I'm missing like 400$ worth of parts and they are making it a bigger deal than what it really is. So if I have to do something to my driveshaft at this point it wouldn't surprise me. When it rains it pours!^^^ That sucks man!!! Where did you order it from again?
:ninja: whatchu say boy?...and just the fabtech + springs = Rake :supergay:
