Now i knew there was gonna be some of you who were gonna want to know how i did this so i took pictures for yall too.

Cap pops off from the front

Fed a wire through to help pull the LED wires though. going in..

Wire coming out. i used a pair of needle nose pliers to pull it out of the mirror housing. REMEMBER - do this with the mirrors extended so the wire will be long enough if you ever pull them out. i didnt do this so i gotta fix it later

Here is the switch panel where i found the turn signal power and ground. its the black connector

i put the power and ground wires into the tow mirror harness plug

DONE!

P.S. stock DL3 mirrors are for sale, $300 OBO. only 10,000 miles with them on.

Looks great, I know the people at oznium and they have great products excellent prices and the best customer service. Their cold cathodes are nice and cheap if your looking to add neon lights to your interior.

Nice- flows with the shape of the mirror- at first I thought you were talking about the red plastic arrow shape leds and thought "NOOOOO....."

Anyone else like the amber blinkers on the front of the mirrors that the Dodge's have? I am wondering how your idea in amber would look on the front...

i originally wanted the LED vertically on the inside of the mirror housing in between the mirror and housing but there is not enough room even for the slim strips. im wondering if these side emitting strips like BILLY suggested would be thinner?? http://www.oznium.com/side-emitting-led-strip

and i really want the amber LED strips on the front i just cant seem to find a good place to put them and run the wires. any help? maybe vertically on the outside edge of the mirror?

Reading the reviews on their site doesn't look like they make a quality product. Most companies seem to edit out the bad reviews- certainly didn't do that on their own website. Sure they send out replacements, but I don't want to go thru the hassle of ordering, installing only to have them go out a week later and look retarded...:imo

wow i didnt even look at the review. ive never ordered the side emitting strips but ive ordered countless other led products from them and never had a single problem. always thought everything i received was a good product

I've been looking for a set of those tow mirrors. I don't have the heat or turn signal option in my mirrors now, but they are power. Went to Kool Vue's website and they have two types.......one with flat glass and the other with convex. Which type is better? Why is the flat glass so much more?

Taylor,

Digging on this thread a little cause I have a question. Say if you bought these tow mirrors with the signals in them, wouldn't it pretty much just be plug and play? I see how you routed the LED strip + and - into the top of the harness. Wouldn't the signal tow mirrors have those wires already there and can we assume that they would just work? Lemme know your thoughts......going to be ordering up some tows real soon.

I like this thread alot! Thank you for doing a write-up!

I'd like to do this with my regular mirrors (not tow style).

So as XDevil stated it should be plug and play and you remarked in agreement. Why didnt you just splice** into the existing plug and play system?

He didn't buy turn signal mirrors
I understand this....

What im saying is, if the eom turn signal mirrors are "plug and play", why not just splice into the already hot wire that goes there for the "plug and play" system for the new DIY turn signals?

If that system is already in place why run a wire all the way to the harness and save the hassle?

I'd run wires to the mirror pigtail......
