I am wanting to replace my stock muffler with a magnaflow muffler
(12590 or 12579 to be exact). I don't know whether or not to get a single or dual out. I want to dump the exhaust over the axle. I used to own a 94 Ext Cab with a dual out 40 series and no cat and that was pretty darn loud in the cab.
For my new truck I am wanting to have A LOT less noise in the cab and an exhaust that is not as loud. I want to keep the exhaust mild. I have searched the forums a bunch and haven't seen much talk about the difference/opinions between the single and dual outs.
One more question, would there be a big sound difference between dumping at the muffler and past the axle?
