Hello,

I have a 2004 yukon denali with the 6.0 and got a Hptuner to tune it. Does any one have a experience tuning these or any tips?

Do you know anything about tuning? On any vehicle? If not, you have a long uphill learning curve to deal with...

Go join the HP Tuners forum and start reading.

Just setting basic parameters (WOT shift points, kick down timing, compressor cut out, etc) will make a huge difference along with removing/reducing torque management.

Yes i do....i owned a grand prix gtp before this and had a Powertuner for that and tuned it to run e85 with 65# injectors and smaller pulley on s/c with 5 degrees advanced timing with 0 kr with a A/f of 11.3 and i have tuned other grand prixs on top of that. IM not new to tuning im sure there are more tables in these PCM's vs mine but im sure it cant be that tough

At least you know about it, but the software is complex and takes time to learn. Again, go join that forum for the basics.

There are TONS of files in these, far more than you would probably imagine.

I hardly know anything minus some basic shit for EFI Live, not to worry. You are just asking the wrong crowd... most guys here are more concerned about what muffler or air intake is best. :jester:

If you have yet to invest in a wideband, do so if you get more serious into mods (i.e. cam, head work, etc) so you can dial in your A/F properly. I am real partial to the AEM as you do not have to calibrate them like with the Innovate brand.

Yeah i have dealt with AEM widebands they are a good choice thats for sure. Only shitty part is if i convert to completely e85 the AEM widebands suck to calibrate for e85.

I'd look into a wideband, no matter what mods you have. After putting the hoe back to stock, and flashing a stock tune in it, the AFR was in the mid 10's and I was getting 10mpg. It has a SD tune on it now, runs much better, and gets 20mpg.
