Doing this swap on my 2005 5.3 4x4 and was wondering about the neutral switch and the light wiring from the 4l60e to the nv3500. And do you know anywhere I can get /buy a flashed computer for a 5.3 manual? I’d rather spend the money to have a manual over an auto so wanting to do it right the first time.
ID for sure recommend getting your factory PCM tuned for the NV3500. The 04-06 GM trucks with DBW and tach are touchy and very sensitive. Be able to prevent a lot of headache, and reduced engine power codes by keeping factory petal, tach, and throttle tables.

I can rewrite your factory to a nv3500 for $100, plus shipping.

Or a new PCM n tune for $250, but I’d still want the factory PCM to read tune, just wouldn’t tune that one, be shipped back as is.

I have a 2004 Silverado that has a 5.3 with the 4lslippy I was wanting to do the swap I have a nv3500 2wd transmission and most of the other parts needed for the swap I just want to know what part number of drive shaft you use as you stated you had to get one from a nnbs ecsb with a bit longer

threads like 12 years old I don’t think he’s gonna update that.

But He said NNBS ECSB. They used the same big long single aluminum shaft as in the NBS 2wd crew cabs. 6 speed would have just had the 32 spline yoke on it. 4 speeds will have the 27 spline.

Do you still do the PCM tuning for a 5 speed manual swap .?
