Fox 2.0 Vs. Bilstein 5100 Vs. Rough Country N2.0

I need some new shocks for my truck, I am going with longer shocks as my truck is going to have about 2" of torsion bar cranked. Truck is a 2000 Silverado 1500 4x4. Will have 1.25" rear block & 33/17's with 2" spacers.

I was considering ordering the Rough Country Full Level kit, and installing the keys and shocks, but I already have leveling keys. So not that needed, but the $270 price tag is nice.

What kind of ride/dampening/quality should I expect from Fox 2.0 smooth body shocks(0-1" lift shocks), Bilstein 5100 smooth body shocks(0-1" lift) and the Rough Country N2.0's?

I realize the Rough country will be not as nice as the other two, but how so? and how much better with the Fox/Bilstein's be??

I can Get Bilstein 5100 for $380 shipped, and Foxes for a good price, through a friend that is a vendor.

I dont have a ton of money, so just want to see if the better shocks are going to be worth the extra $$

Thanks

I have the n2.0 shocks. Better over stock. But since its cranked i hit bumpstops. And my stocks were rusted bad.

Now my dad has bilsteins. Forget the model, but its on his 2500 dmax with a 6in rcx lift. It rides great.

If you can get the Foxes for a nice price, I would opt for them. IIRC they are rebuildable... so you basically have all new shocks for $80.... thats about what a total rebuild costs when you factor in shock oil and seals.

otherwise get Bilstein 5100's... I recently put some on my truck and love them... MUCH better than my old Rancho Xl9000's.

I've put Bilsteins on my Z71. Wasn't impressed. They weren't worth the coin IMO. Didn't notice ANY difference between them and the N2O's they replaced.

Sold them for a little less than what I paid for them to a family member who was in desperate need of shocks and went back with N2O's.

This is on my 2003 with the full RCX level.

Save the coin and get the N2O's.... IMO.

Edit:

RCX made some shitty shocks back in the pre-N2O days. This is where their reputation for a shitty ride comes from. But definitely not the N2O's. They are quality shocks.

I've got a NNBS so I can't quite compare my coilover to your torsion suspension, but I've got the 5100s on the front of my truck and I've got fox 2.0s in the rear. At first I had stock shocks in the rear and I could really tell that the 5100s were immensely better than the stock shocks but once I got my Foxes in the rear I honestly think my front end rides worse than the rear. IMO if you can swing the money for foxes they are 100% worth it. I've never really been impressed with bilsteins for how much they cost. Yes they're much better than factory, but for a little extra money you can get foxes which are a much better ride and performance and, they're also rebuildable so essentially you never have to replace them again. I'm so impressed with my 2.0s that I'm saving up for the fox coilovers in the front when my 5100s crap out. That's just my $0.02

I am waiting to hear back from my buddy on the price for the foxes, and a quote locally for Bilsteins. But I am really thinking of going the N2.0's due to the cost, and I get new keys & a 3" block, which I could always sell, or use If I go bigger in the future. How many miles do you have on your shocks?

I've prolly put 15k on the N2O's and roughly 50k on the kit since I purchased it.
