got my subthump box for my nnbs gmc cc and put some sundown sd2 10s in it and they lay on the floor so do not buy subthump if you have a sub with any lip at all. guess I am going to have to raise the box so they don't thump on the floor

It seems like the extended cab does it worse than the crew cab, I think. I could be mistaken. The solution has been put a spacer at the hump to push it up some, solves it without lifting the seat.

seems like what i will have to do. but it is laying on the floor no doubt in my crew cab. what would you recomeend using for a spacer to make it clean looking? also going to test that amp on a buddys sub tomorrow.

i cut the pad from below the carpet out where the sub box went. Easier than raising the box as you could already feel it through the seat as is. The carpet jute pad is very thick and when you put weight in an already heavy box the edges cause the carpet and pad to bulk up on the inside of the lip where the subs actually sit.

Same thing as something heavy on house carpet.

Thank you, all these years I thought i was crazy. I've had muffled bass for 6 yrs.

it just does lay on the floor, the big rubber piece that hangs off the face is what does it. Doesn't look like it will take too much to clear but still a pain.

Well good to know, am about to order a box for 2 type-r 10s. So would you reccommend the subthump other than the spacing issue or is there another preferred box?

great box overall :imo: besides the clearance issue. would order again and i don't believe it will take much to get enough clearance for them to move
